Crassula arborescens undulatifolia Curly, also known as the jade plant, is a striking succulent with wavy, twisted leaves that give it a playful and elegant appearance. This rare variety of Crassula arborescens originates from South Africa and is known for its blue-green leaves with a distinctive curled shape. Thanks to its thick, water-storing leaves, Curly is perfectly adapted to dry conditions, making it a low-maintenance choice for home or office. With sufficient light, the plant retains its compact form and vibrant leaf structure. In warmer climates, this jade plant may bloom with small white flowers, although this is rare in cooler regions. Even without flowers, Crassula Curly is a true eye-catcher that adds structure and character to any interior.
Care
Crassula arborescens 'Curly' prefers a bright location with plenty of indirect sunlight. A spot near a south- or west-facing window is ideal. Too little light can cause leggy growth, while strong midday sun in summer may scorch the leaves. Use a well-draining cactus or succulent potting mix and ensure the pot has drainage holes. Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings—this plant is very sensitive to overwatering and root rot. In winter, it needs very little water. Occasional pruning helps maintain a compact shape and removes any dead or leggy growth. During the growing season (spring and summer), feed once a month with a diluted cactus fertiliser.
Size
The plant has a height of 15–25 cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. It is delivered in a nursery pot with a diameter of 12 cm.
